Called to Serve

“Called to Serve” is a message rooted in John 10 and Mark 10:42–45, reminding us that true greatness in the Kingdom of God is not found in status, popularity, or power, but in humble service. Just as Jesus modeled when He came not to be served but to serve and give His life as a ransom for many, we too are called to embrace servant-hearted living. At Emmaus Church, we honor the heroes who serve—more than 50 individuals faithfully giving their time and energy each month to make ministry possible. Yet, the mission is still growing, and we are praying for another 10–12 leaders to rise up. Greatness, as Jesus teaches, is synonymous with being a world changer—and we celebrate examples like Kristen Murray while challenging all of us to follow Christ’s example by serving others.
