Starve Your Flesh. Feed Your Faith

Jul 27, 2025    Pastor Jon

This message from Galatians 5:1–24 calls believers to embrace the true freedom found only in Christ, not through works or self-effort. We are reminded that our works neither save nor sustain us—only Christ does. When we try to return to old habits or rely on our strength, we risk losing the joy of His freedom.

Paul warns that spiritual weariness, outside influences, and the enemy’s attacks can hinder our growth, but walking in the Spirit and building healthy rhythms in the local church keep us grounded.

The call is clear: Starve the desires of the flesh and walk in the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. As we enter a new season, we’re urged to set our minds on Christ, putting to death what is earthly and feeding our faith daily.
