Trust In The Lord

The song What a Beautiful Name reminds us: at the name of Jesus, demons flee, and His kingdom reigns above all. He’s a God worth trusting—especially when life feels uncertain.

Proverbs 3:5–6 gives us a simple equation:

If we trust in the Lord with all our heart,
refuse to lean on our own understanding,
and acknowledge Him in all our ways,
then He will make our paths straight.

1. Trust Fully
Real trust isn’t proven when life is easy—it’s forged in fear. Like standing on the edge of a zipline platform, trust means turning your back on fear and stepping forward anyway. When we bring even the smallest parts of life to God, we build habits of trust that carry us through the storms.

2. Beware of Self-Reliance
Our own understanding has limits. Self-reliance may feel strong, but it can’t compare to God’s wisdom. The more we lean on Him, the straighter our paths will be.

3. Acknowledge God in All Things
Trust grows when we invite God into every area of life—big and small. Pausing to seek His guidance changes how we respond and keeps our hearts aligned with His will.

4. Believe His Promise of Guidance
God’s promise is clear: if we trust Him, He will direct our steps. Like the Israelites at the Red Sea, we may face impossible situations, but He specializes in making a way where there is none.

Your battles today may fade tomorrow, but the faith you build by trusting God will last forever. He is a promise-keeper, and you can trust Him.
